Jonathan William Thompson is the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Wayne Thompson of Junction City, Louisiana. Grandparents of the groom are Mrs. Ola Ryals Thompson and the late Mr. John Smith Thompson of Junction City, Louisiana, and Mr. and Mrs. James Leonard Patterson of Calion, Arkansas. He is a 2002 graduate of Junction City High School and a 2006 graduate of Louisiana Tech University, where he received a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering. He has recently received a Doctorate of Medicine from Louisiana State University School of Medicine in New Orleans. After a preliminary year of Internal Medicine training in Baton Rouge, he will begin his four-year residency in Radiation Oncology at the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
